Zelenskyy opens Cannes Film Festival, links war and cinema

Judging from his report on the "rescue" of the hold outs at the steel plant yesterday, he certainly likes fantasy.

They should make a movie about the evil Putin and the brutality of his unjustified aggression against the sovereign nation of Ukraine, but hold on ... before that, how about a movie about the war crimes of Bush and the unjustified US invasion of Iraq which led to the creation of ISIS?

He reminds me of Max Headroom.

He ought to find time too prosecute the war, instead trying to be in the limelight

Maybe he can get Tom Cruise to fly his Mig , over Ukraine in bombing raid

and winner will be some Ukraine movie,best actor will be from UA-same thing like Eurovision...what for they need some "competition" if winner is well know in advance...

This guy is milking the moment for all it's worth. I hear that he is in danger from his own men, now that some of them have seen how they've been left to fend for themselves and basically used as cannon fodder.

Personally,I find the Cannes Festival more interesting and enlightening than other film award ceremonies.

As the comments above show, he’s riling up the opposition and gaining more support with just a video camera and a mic.

I think he's doing a good job. I've watched him when he was a comedian and was not impressed - as a leader of a threatened country he is doing very well.
