Exactly. There's only a finite amount of stories to tell and ways to tell them. Much like music.
I'm fine with that and when I'm not, I try to create my own :-)

The real problem is THIS: just like cinema movies it's just
Wash
Rinse
Repeat
Recycle the trash again - skippable!

There's been several Wonder Man characters over the last 80 years.
Will Eisner got into legal troubles over his Wonder Man back in the 30s. DC saw him as too close to several of their characters.
And of course, the latter now have at least 3 heroes what have used the actual name since the 60s.
So, yes, I'd quite enjoyed a show by that name, too.

I cant wait until we get see these TV shows:
WonderMan
Charlies Devils(played by men)
I have no problem trying to get more women etc into roles, just don't be so OBVIOUS & forcing the roles, etc, put them into something NEW, or else the shows will fail more than succeed

They have an actor who has already proved their acting chops in cinema and television over 30 years.
Not sure what the color of her skin, her sexuality or music career has to do with the role?
But since we're there, Edward Woodward recorded over a dozen albums of music and spoken word.
Dr. Theopolis
Wow...CBS is sure covering all their bases! LOL They have a Black, Lesbian, Rapper trying to fill the shoes of the likes of Edward Woodward and Denzel Washington. Doubt the show will last a full season.

I quite enjoyed the Hannibal series.
My favorite iteration is probably Brian Cox in Manhunter followed by the Silence of the Lambs film.
TV and film have always done remakes, spin-offs and sequels. Not sure why this upsets some people?
Indeed. I don't understand those that claim it's rubbish.
Currently watching:
Atlanta
Better Call Saul
The Boys
In the Line of Duty
Umbrella Academy
Dear White People
The Good Fight
Black Mirror
Fear the Walking Dead
Fleabag
amongst others.
Of course, it's subjective and all that but there's talent out there.

Then again, compared to JP TV, it's all Citizen Kane.

True. But, the majority of it is from the streaming services like Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu, or pay providers like HBO. Very little on the broadcast networks, at least in the US.
Obviously, the UK is different story with a fair amount of quality TV from the BBC, ITV, and Channel4 networks. But, US broadcast networks serve mostly crap.

Alfie ok knock yourself out :) I will pass, I waste enough time on other things, no time for TV LOL!

There are loads of really good shows now. In fact, it's a golden age of television!

"Queen Latifah as the Equalizer".....I stopped reading the article at that point. Sheesh.

..... massive yawn!! This woke attitude to tv & movies usually falls flat on its face, I could care less, reading this makes me glad I have pretty much given up on tv & video's, now I only go to the cinema once in a blue moon.
And totally agree re-hashes of old stuff is well getting old! Actually make that ancient!
sf2k
Just make new shows instead of rewriting old ones
Speed
= No new ideas.
