Putin and the undisciplined, brutal Russian military must be quaking in their boots now that Barbra Streisand and Elton John are in a social media campaign.

In 2010 there were big time charity drives and songs made to benefit the victims of severe earthquakes in Haiti and Japan. There was the download 'We Are the World: Haiti 25' with different singers and new lyrics (it was SO horrible; most people just paid to make a contribution and threw the downloaded song into the 'trash'. Fact.) and Mercy Corps had a blog page where you could write condolences and support for Japanese children. I did that many times before it was all translated and emailed out.
And hardly anybody in those two nations is white.
