Never heard of the Poynter Institute. They should butt out instead of trying to impose yet more nanny pc limits on what the public can be informed from news events.

You can report on these deaths without going into detail on the methods they used and, especially, details of suicide notes.

It’s been documented that suicide is contagious. Reporting on it inevitably leads to an uptick in the suicide rate. It’s no different from school shootings in this respect.
