Can you support the claim that Soon Yi Previn was ever his stepdaughter

He can't. Its been explained again and again over 25 years why she wasn't.

Woody Allen is a brilliant filmmaker, but an odd person if evidenced by nothing else than having been in a 12 year relationship with Farrow during which they continued to live in their own apartments just across Central Park from one another.

It is certainly unseemly that Allen married his step-daughter, particularly given that he is old enough to be her father and that she was just 19 and Allen 50 when the relationship became public. However, who's weirder for doing this - Allen or Previn? (Calling Jack Nicholson and Lara Flynn Boyle!)

The matter of his allegedly sexually abusing his adoptive daughter, Dylan, was investigated and came to naught. Either this was a miscarriage of justice or she still maintains it happened because it would be too embarrassing after this many years to admit otherwise.

The young actor in question (who can't seem to spell his given name correctly) is full of himself and his new-found disdain of Allen positively reeks of opportunism in the context of #MeToo and Hollywood. Allen has never been accused of sexually harassing any of the actors who have worked with him, many multiple times, over his 50 year film career.

I don't like the man, but I love his art.

Actors don't like prying into their shadowy past but Woody Allen has already been through that, and came out the other side long ago. Rehashing it now doesn't make it true, much to the mob's disappointment.

Mia Farrow is pretty messed up and manipulative, so the relationship with her and investigations into it is why Allen has been exonerated a few times now. I think it's because the mob doesn't want to accept context or data that allows accusations to continue even long after the police have left. Why he isn't strong enough to not put himself into situations of liability is his flaw and confusing, but criminal negligence isn't there or else he would have been charged years ago already.

In past interviews, seeing Soon-Yi and Woody interact you can tell that it's Soon-Yi who is in charge not him. That blew a lot of people's minds. It takes two to marry. Maybe it was a way for them to both escape Mia and find happiness.

This is why his movies have such good character development, context, and complexity.

Don't let the truth get in the way of a good hashtag.

Dylan Farrow, Allen's adopted daughter, has given an interview repeating the allegations of sexual assault on her by Allen.

WA4TKG: Woody Allen didn't adopt Soon-Yi.

Mia Farrow and her previous husband Andre Previn did.

I guess innocent before being proven guilty doesn’t pertain to witchhunts or fashionable political correct agendas.....

Headline should read "Young actor virtue-signals for life denouncing Woody Allen despite accepting role in prestigious Woody Allen film"

As Margaret Atwood wrote, "In times of extremes, extremists win. Their ideology becomes a religion, anyone who doesn't puppet their views is seen as an apostate, a heretic or a traitor, and moderates in the middle are annihilated." It does seem that this is becoming true in the cases (not all of course) where there has been no due process and men are getting crucified without a trial.

Quote: The announcement by Chalamet, a favorite Oscar contender for best actor this year, followed a similar one Friday by his co-star Hall. She said she was donating her salary from the film to Time's Up, the recently formed initiative to combat gender inequality in the entertainment industry. "It's a small gesture and not one intended as close to compensation," Hall wrote on Instagram.

While I can appreciate that Rebecca Hall must have thought long and deep about this, Chalamet is simply following the herd. That photograph of him should be on the cover of Mad magazine.

The guy married his step-daughter,

No he didn't. But hey, don't let the truth get in the way of a good witch-hunt.

Apart from the police investigation, one of Mia Farrow's other kids was in the room at the time in question and said publically it never happened. Would have been impssible He added Mia is a scary individual: controling, manipulative, obssessively vengeful, etc., someone you don't cross paths with. 14 kids, I mean.

Sorvino and others are trashing the concept of evidence, innocence and fair trials, and brainlessly jumped on the bandwagon. A classic witchhunt. They are the ones who deserve a boycott .

Like you say, runner. He is old and unlikely to make many more movies. Meanwhile, his son (and accuser) is becoming a name in Hollywood. So it's now safe to take the "moral high ground" and refuse to work with Woody Allen now. There's nothing to lose and plenty of free press and virtue signalling to bask in. Twenty years ago, these same people would have sold their first-born to work on an Allen flick.

They will never work with him again ! There's a good chance that that is true, he's 82 years old!

That grinning Alfred E Neuman in the photo only donated his paycheck for damage limitation purposes, and to try and distance himself from Woody.

We all knew the rumors.. (Which I never believed. I agree with Sparky...good post btw)

Would've had more respect for the lad in the photo if he had done it before all this hoo ha came out.

"Jump on that bandwagon kid...next stop....who?"

He was proven innocent. Move on.

Research Mia Farrow more. She's been quite the home wrecker in her past, leading to one woman's suicide.

She openly says the late Frank Sinatra is Ronan's biological dad.

Mia's pals with Roman Polanski. I'm sure that squares with Samantha Grainer just dandy.

Allen was never a parent to his future wife. Andrew Previn was. It's questionable if Mia saw Soon-Yi as anything but a trophy.

The Farrow home remains a toxic environment. When the kids leave it for good - they act healthier. NPR has had covered this.

Dylan's story was not followed up on because

a.) No proof

b.) Allen is known as a claustrophobic & not capable of climbing into a crawlspace.

Baldwin is right.

A parent who weaponizes her child to attack a cuckolded lover (who has rejected her) is surely as rotten as a person who uses their power to coerce another person for sex.

If you view Allen as a creep - that's your right. There's zero evidence Dylan's story is true. The villain is this tale is Mia.

Woody Allen is not one of mine.

I love watching liberals eat their own...

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

Woody has always been a Hen’a’ Oji’san..everyone knew it and just kept on

collecting their $$$.

As said above, What kind of FREAK adopts a REFUGEE child, waits for her to turn 18,

and MARRIES HER ?

Sick animal....that’s hollywood for you, enjoy.

Kevin Spacey on the other hand, is the poster child for how not to handle it, coming out as gay, and then trying to excuse what he may have done. He should have made a forceful denial.

True but his image will be tarnished forever. How often do you see Bill Cosby on TV nowadays since the allegations?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Isn't this old news? The guy married his step-daughter, and has been accused of groping his ex-wife's child. It's been known he's a sleaze for years.

7 ( +11 / -4 )

Accusations surrounding Allen's interest in teenage girls have been swirling for years yet everyone was happy to work with the creep. The stuff found in his archive is disturbing.

As Burning Bush says...

Well, that didn't take long...
