About 10 years or so ago, there was a Japanese TV series called: AI I Love you. (Great show. See it if you can.) It sounds like this "Her" might have been, ahem, let's say 'inspired' by that show. The details fit this show to a T.

 the sci-fi feedback loop explores how science fiction and technological innovation feed off each other. This dynamic is bidirectional and can sometimes play out over many decades, resulting in an ongoing loop.

AI software, like pornographic material, will never completely satisfy anyone since it is a mimicry of something better, namely reality. AI companions and lewd materials can only offer debilitating addictions to humanity.
