Really? Had a bread since I was 18, been in Japan over 30 years with my beard, I am over 60 happily married but regularly get unwanted attention from the far younger ladies.
And I am not rich or particularly good looking.
I even have a few Japanese friends with full beards one is actually married to a former Miss Hokkaido.
A rumour that I haven't seen in reality.

I'm sure it upsets him.

Wanna bet? Plenty of Japanese women who know what they want, don't mind beards at all.

Just how is a man voted as the sexiest man alive in the world? There are billions of men in the world. Just how is it possible to pick out just one man as the sexiest man alive in the world? Is there not a sexiest dead man who was alive in the world?

Sexist man alive, as decided by People. That beard won't get him anywhere with the ladies here. Beards just not "in" in Asia. Also "muscles" add generally frowned upon too. Already two strikes.

If supporting grooming is now considered sexy, then, yes, he is sexy.

Well, I'm still the sexiest man in Japan. But that isn't saying much.

I'm surprised a trans or an obese man didn't win this year.

“Captain America” actor Chris Evans has been named People Magazine’s "sexiest man alive" for 2022, following his Marvel co-star Paul Rudd having the title in 2021................
Whatever floats your boat I suppose, had is me thinking, Mrs Doubtfire, RuPaul, Bob the Drag Queen. were the they/them sexiest pronoun of 2021.
Mrs D posthumously.

Wait haven't we been told over and over and over again that gender constructs of man and of woman are patriarchal and a modern invention?
Aren't we supposed to go with there are no genders, labeling someone's gender is an act of violence?
How can "he" be a "man" when Hollywood says no such thing exists?
It is getting difficult to keep up with all the never ending changes and what word, pronoun or gender classification ( or more likely no gender fluid gender, etc..) because we can get in trouble.
Do I say congratulations? If I do will I get in trouble for it because it offends the gender neutral or gender fluid groups?
