Comedian Dave Chappelle attacked during LA show: report

And there is the problem when you set a precedent. Copycats come out of the walls.

Good, glad they roughed the guy up, this is just so out of control, who do these people think they are that they have the right to bum rush a stage and think they can just attack someone, maybe after that deserved beatdown the individual will rethink and reflect on his actions that sent him to the hospital, I saw pics of this guy, he looked messed up and I think his arm was broken, also Jaime Foxx was caught up in the mix as well and add to that the security that the guy has. The guy just had no chance and became a pinata for these people at that point. Thanks to Will Smith you know have these copycat morons that think they have the right to storm a stage when a comedian says something they don't like, Chappelle is now just doubling down on his verbal jokes about these people and he won't shut up or be canceled. The left need to seriously get a grip on reality and realize, that you can't beat your ideology into people, they are not going to take it anymore.

Dave picks on everyone. If you don't like his comedy, don't listen or go to his shows. For a few hours, we get to hear something we all think, but are afraid to say.

Pretty scary, because the guy had a gun-shaped knife . At least he got the beating he deserves - anyone deserves if they attack a performer. Dave is a national treasure, so glad he's OK.

I still think David Chappelle is an unfunny transphobe whose comedy punches down in a desperate bid to create controversy to prop up an otherwise stagnating career.

His career has been going great the last decade, and he made trans-related jokes a small portion of his performance but of course the progressive left minority got all ruffled at this type of comedy; which is what it is, comedy, and nothing related to transphobia at all.

Will Smith slapped the crap outta somebody who made juvenile jokes about someone with a physical condition. Those 'jokes' are uncalled for in the first place. But at the same time, Dave's comedic subject matter is pretty well known. Nobody told that assailant that he had to attend. The big question IS:

How did that jackass sneak in that knife/gun thing? Why wasn't security more effective in stopping that?

And it's not a matter of 'ideology' or left/right/broken wing whatsoever. To quote Extreme in 1990:

The attacker has NOT been identified as a trans man. The confusion comes from that fact that Dave Chappelle JOKED that the guy might be trans.
