How sad you need to disrespect music history all over Ivermectin.

So you think all this is over Ivermectin?!!! So much more was discussed on the podcasts I mentioned above such as the severe adverse effects of the vaccines, pharma's numerous convictions of fraud, and the corrupt regulatory system. Ivermectin was barely mentioned.

Neil Young sold his catalogue for 150 million dollars, he doesn't need Spotify.

Apparently, the company that purchased half his catalogue recently merged with Blackstone, which hired Pfizer's exCEO as senior advisor..... That might partially explain why he does not approve of any criticism of these "vaccines".

Joe Rogan. A less than successful cock-fighting career as a cage combatant gladiator. Continually, spews disinformation and propaganda and complete falsehoods as factual.

He's Oprah for spongy white-trash males who are fairly witless and venerate a toady libertarian who thinks Elon Musk is Einstein.

Rogan has very little to say that is illuminating or actually revealing - mostly it's echo chamber gossip. And tends towards fawning over guests. It's akin to Vince McMahon interviewing some boneheaded fake wrestler.

As for Neil Young. More cred than Rogan could accumulate in a hundred lifetimes.

CSNY. Cool. As if they need Spotify.

Neil Young sold his catalogue for 150 million dollars, he doesn't need Spotify.

Daniel Ek, the titular head of Spotify is one of those queer libertarians that 'philosophically' is opposed to the state aka paying taxes and sees the state as a tool for self-enrichment via legal mechanisms and personal exercise of power. He cares not for the common good, only self-enrichment and entitlement as an elite.

Beyond that Spotify is 'owned' by a host of investment houses and Big Tech along with entertainment conglomerates. All and all, a perfect place for Joe Rogan.

How sad you need to disrespect music history all over Ivermectin.

Joe Rogan will be gone, Covid will be gone, the Ivermectin scam will be gone and all this music will still however be there.

Not long now.

Latest news is that Yoko Ono is threatening to add her music to Spotify over Joe Rogan...

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Too funny @RawBeer.

With all these boring old has-been artists leaving Spotify, I’m thinking of downloading it. Is it free?

Yes, it's free! Worth a try.

And if you want to better understand what all this fuss is about, check out the Joe Rogan Experience podcasts with: Robert Malone (#1757), Peter McCullough (#1747), and John Abramson (#1756). Highly recommended!

@OKNewshawk

All these old hippies have gone from "sticking it to the Man" to "sticking UP for the Man." Whatever happened to free speech?

They have it, but it isn't particularly relevant here.

Free speech applies to government censorship, government isn't involved here at all. Individuals and companies can censor whatever they want.

Despite many Americans' misunderstanding, free speech there is NOT a blanket right to say anything you want free of repercussions.

@CC--do the worlds armies let their soldiers choose their own vaccination status? But citizens are not forced to vaccinate like soldiers, so they have relatively more freedom and diversity of medical choice.

With all these boring old has-been artists leaving Spotify, I’m thinking of downloading it. Is it free?

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

I thought that diversity was a virtue society should embrace. It seems diversity of opinion or petsonal medical choices is discouraged.

-2 ( +6 / -8 )

@divinda--not sure about all three singers but Neil Young definitely picked up US citizenship a few years ago for voting purposes. Hd was public about it but it didnt stop the right wing rumor mongering.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

It’s just disgraceful how (liberal leaning) Joe Rogan is being attacked.

Your support is bordering on the cultish.

He’s in the public eye. People in the public eye get attacked. Get over it.

This is a man who calls himself a moron, has had Alex Jones on, and was once a proponent of the faked moon landing conspiracy theory.

He’s allowed his freedom of speech, but he has put himself in the firing line and is making an absolute shedload of cash by doing it.

Their highlights are often very analytical.

I prefer to watch the whole game myself and do my own analysis.

if I don’t care enough to do that I say so and don’t judge the product from a partial picture of what happened.

it’s seems as if your limited impression tells you that every day Joe Rogan spends 3 hours talking to crazed people who falsely claim to be scientists and doctors.

-6 ( +4 / -10 )

Can't they find someone under 70 to attack Rogan? A bunch of rich but cranky old former drug addicts....

You mean the elderly, who both with and without co-morbidities have been disproportionately affected in the mortality rates, should not be speaking up about misinformation which could cost even more lives of people in their age group. I think they need to be louder.

4 ( +9 / -5 )

@Blacklabel:, Well, you should watch SportsCenter more often, Their highlights are often very analytical.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

condensed version

It’s like watching a sports game on replay at fast forward speed. You get no context no understanding of the background, no understanding of critical plays made that didn’t directly lead to a score, nothing,

you see all the homeruns but none of the strikeouts and strategies that actually caused the victory or defeat.

-3 ( +6 / -9 )

Why is your standard interesting when it’s used by other people?

Because I never claim that a professionally qualified and certified doctor or scientist is not a doctor or scientist like the left does.

i don’t put quotes around their title or around professional.

they are still what they are. Just incorrect, misinformed or driven by politics.

-6 ( +5 / -11 )

Hey Macarena, Ghostbusters and Who Let the Dogs Out are classics if you listen to just the chorus. It’s once you listen to the whole thing that you find they are annoyingly repetitive and sometimes even in a different language.

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

No, I listened to the condensed version on Spotify actually, to which I subscribe to as it it excellent for new music discovery - such as hearing one song that you like and investigating further.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

excerpts

There is your problem.

only hear what the media wants you to hear ti push their already identified narrative.

you don’t listen to a 10 second snippet of a song or only 1 song on an album then judge it, right?

-6 ( +6 / -12 )

talking to some deranged medical 'professionals'

So people who you don’t agree with just automatically lose their earned professional certifications as doctors and scientists? That’s interesting.

you don’t agree with me either so I just checked and all my professional qualifications still exist. Whew was worried for a minute.

-5 ( +6 / -11 )

I have indeed listened to excerpts of some of his interviews, but there are far more interesting interviews where both interview and interviewee actually both have some knowledge of the subject they are discussing.

He has no medical knowledge whatsoever.

6 ( +11 / -5 )

So you are criticizing something you don’t listen to.

Guess you haven’t heard the Joe Rogan is a raycist” narrative now that “COVID misinformation” fell flat.

Neil Young opened a door that I must walk through,” Arie wrote on Instagram. “I believe in freedom of speech. However, I find Joe Rogan problematic for reasons other than his Covid interviews. For me, it’s also his language around race.”

-6 ( +8 / -14 )

@Blacklabel. Joe Rogan attacked? No, Some artists don't feel the need to share the same platform as him.

It's great advertising for everybody, Rogan, the artists who pull their music off Spotify and for other services that can push these catologues, for example, Apple, who have now put Neil Young on the banner of their music app.

The artists are all losing revenue by not being on Spotify, Spotify have taken a valuation hit of anywhere between 2-4 billion dollars.

I didn't have to do any research, I'm a music fan which is far more interesting and fulfilling than listen to a UFC 'celebrity' warbling on for 3 hours talking to some deranged medical 'professionals'

3 ( +10 / -7 )

Can't they find someone under 70 to attack Rogan? A bunch of rich but cranky old former drug addicts....

David Crosby and Graham Nash are actually in their 80s.

Not to mention that neither Neil Young, nor Joni Mitchell, nor Graham Nash are US Citizens... but they sure like dictating what constitutes as free speech in the US.

-2 ( +7 / -9 )

Yes I “heard”. I didn’t care enough to confirm it as I care nothing about Neil Young. But thanks for researching that I was correct.

It’s just disgraceful how (liberal leaning) Joe Rogan is being attacked.

-3 ( +9 / -12 )

Correct @BigYen: Vinyl sales on the rise the last few years, and yes most artists releasing decent pressings quite intentionally now. Lossless streaming and Hi Res downloads on the way up, not only exposing new artists in a better quality, but re introducing the 'oldies' to a new audience. Music will live on far longer than any old Rogan podcast will.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

@OkNewshawk

All these old hippies have gone from "sticking it to the Man" to "sticking UP for the Man.

Exactly.

-2 ( +8 / -10 )

Good. This is starting to build up and others will follow. We all need to fight disinformation.

-1 ( +9 / -10 )

@Blacklabel :, 'you heard'. Haha.

It's a fact but Universal obliged. Rightly so.

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Wow. Tens of fans will be disappointed.... Not one of them has done anything significant in decades.

-3 ( +8 / -11 )

had heard that Neil Young sold his music rights and can’t really even officially demand this.

-7 ( +6 / -13 )

Funny how it is all the same era of musicians.

Check out the views of Eric Clapton and Van Morrison for a bit of balance.

I think they went as far as writing songs about their views.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

Yeah, CSN are talented, rich and famous. Not smart like some people.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

This is nothing but good publicity for Rogan.

He doesn’t need much help. He’s a smart businessman anyway.

He’s not my thing but I admire his business sense. He knows what sells.

My coworker remarked that he’s tweaked his business plan more towards the conspiracy theory leaning segment of his audience during the pandemic.

Maybe a danger that if he leans too far that way the whole thing will descend into a circus and put off decent guests?

-9 ( +4 / -13 )

mostly because they know what good quality is.

Maybe in the 60's

-7 ( +5 / -12 )

Funny how it is all the same era of musicians.

Just the old generation is afraid to move on and want to control the narrative. The trouble is the new world doesn't care about these old artists. Good riddance.

-6 ( +9 / -15 )

Funny how it is all the same era of musicians.

3 ( +9 / -6 )

How many of these old timers fans even know what Spotify is ?

For that matter, how many Spotify fans know who CSN&Y are?

And since when are counter culture musicians intolerant of others views? What a bunch of totalitarian hypocrite s!

-2 ( +11 / -13 )

All these old hippies have gone from "sticking it to the Man" to "sticking UP for the Man." Whatever happened to free speech?

-1 ( +14 / -15 )

Can't they find someone under 70 to attack Rogan? A bunch of rich but cranky old former drug addicts....

-7 ( +13 / -20 )

This is nothing but good publicity for Rogan.

The initial attack didnt work, so now they are throwing the "buuuuut hes a raycist" attack to see if it sticks.

It wont, because he is not.

-4 ( +15 / -19 )

Are these guys also tied to BlackRock?

Anyway, I agree this will be good advertising for Rogan. Many who were unaware of his podcast will want to know what all the fuss is about...

3 ( +16 / -13 )

The people who listen to Crosby Stills and Nash listen to it on a vinyl record

mostly because they know what good quality is.

11 ( +20 / -9 )

Disinformation and misinformation is now an industry and business model. Stay stupid stuff, get clicks and views, get paid.

Where are the advertisers in this? Complicit and silent.
