I wanna read the part that explains his experience in Japan.

He has imprisoned and later deported in 1980 for marijuana possession.

I wonder how much he'll talk about Heather.

Thats the first thing I thought of. Sad thing is that absolutely nothing has changed in Japan in terms of how they treat marijuana possession. In fact, if it happened 'yesterday', PM would be looking at a far greater punishment.

It'll be his chance to assert than he was the one bigger than Jesus not John Lennon. He'd better tread lightly with his criticism of Lennon though.Yoko's still around and will happily jump in and slap down any casting of aspersions by McCartney.I expect him to say she broke up The Beatles, that's a given.

Lennon did not say that he was bigger than Jesus, he said "........We're more popular than Jesus.........."

We're more popular than Jesus.........."

I knew that. A needless nitpick because the power struggle was between Lennon and McCartney.

An amazing man.

The name Beatles was goofy. Gokiburi would have been much more fun! :-)

The Beatles split up because they just weren't a band anymore. John and George just weren't really Beatles anymore. John had joined a new group called John-and-Yoko, while George had been on his own trajectory and had been aloof from the group since Peppers. Get Back was an attempt to go back to basics and possibly start touring again, but it also exposed some irreconcilable rifts.

He said that this 'memoir' will be explained thru his songs. He and producer Youth formed the experimental group the Fireman and the first track on ttheir 2008 CD 'Electric Arguments' is 'Nothing Too Much Just Out of Sight'. That might be a reference to Heather.

The name Beatles was goofy

Beat (1950's) Mersey beat (Liverpool music, late 1950's early 1960's) Beatles=Beat-les. Not goofy on Merseyside.

this could make a good guide for future serious musicians on how to write lyrics. Since Paul can't read or write notation, readers would be on their own on that. Still, this sounds like a wonderful guide for musicians in the years to come, from a master. Thanks, Sir Paul.

Indeed. Not goofy anywhere, zichi. The Mersey beat flowed far and wide.

He has talked quite a bit about this. I remember him saying the other prisoners were especially friendly to him. And this: "He shared another memory from his last day in the prison, explaining the prisoners had to share a communal bath. “By the end, I was like, ‘Come on! In for a penny. I’m going in with the boys,'” he said. “So we all went in there and it was fun, y’know, being in the tub with all these Japanese guys.”"

So, let's all "Ferry 'cross the Mersey," shall we? Memorabilia. Nothing more, nothing less. If you're going to pay $100 for that memoir, that's your decision. I'd rather give it to starving children in Africa.

Best band ever. Their music sounds as fresh today as it did back then.

All the Beatles were diverging into differing musical explorations and as a George solo album states, 'All Things Must Pass'. He made a movie soundtrack with electronics and India musicians and a solo record with just himself on a Moog synthesizer. Ringo acted in a film, then put out a Broadway covers album and a country record. John (and Yoko) did 3 'experimental' records and a live one and Paul did a soundtrack. John also starred in a movie.
