Nooo. Even before Mary Tyler Moore, her character, Julia was the first person on TV to make me think that a girl could be single and have a career and be happy about it.

Beautiful woman, loved her, big role model, a pioneer, lived a very long and fruitful life, stunning woman, I’ll definitely miss her. RIP and yet once again we lose one of the greats from the past.

Not true, Blacks have more opportunities than ever in Television and Film, it’s not because of racism, it’s like of ideas or show creativity, if it can draw an audience and they create a pilot and it gets picked up, then you have a chance.

Still true. Too many black actors get put into stereotypical roles, even now. At least on TV and films they do. I remember her in 'Dynasty' (she was mean!) and in 'Different World'. She was a great actress and I remember when I visited Nevada numerous times in 1987 her duo shows with Vic Damone were quick sell outs. she broke barriers in the entertainment industry and she was good at it. RIP
