Disney sets dates for next three 'Star Wars' films from 2022

No, just.. no. Stop milking the Mickey Moose.

If only movie companies could fail, not just mega banks.

Saw the line-up walking through a theatre lobby yesterday.

A new copy of the lion King, Aladdin, Dumbo. Dead horse Star Wars, tried watching Han Solo but it sucked so bad, then learned Ron Howard directed it, explains everything. Frozen 2, Toy Story 4(never watched any of them), another Spider-Man.

Recently watched Glass. Was actually looking forward to this but BOY what a big disappointment. Didn’t realize until now that Disney got their hands on it. No wonder it was so drawn out and boring.

We need a Disney Crises just like the Lehman Crises of 2008.

Several "Star Wars" projects are in the works, including a trilogy by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the creators of HBO's "Game of Thrones," and a separate trilogy by "Last Jedi" director Rian Johnson.

That means three more trilogies, plus other movies ? I'm a Star Wars fan, but this is too much.

And what I'm worried about is not even the movies, but the endless stream of over-analysis, debate, theories, complaining and fighting by people who take this waaaay too seriously.

"Avatar 2" will come a year later than expected in December 2021, followed by "Avatar 3" in 2023, "Avatar 4" in 2025 and "Avatar 5" in 2027.

And this, I just don't understand. The first Avatar was average at best. How it became the most successful movie of all time is beyond me.

Yeah I wonder if people even cared about the lore of Avatar, I only saw it because of the 3-D hype. Already preparing 4 more movies is pretty ambitious and I'm sure the first sequel will have a much lower performance than the original.

No please no no no... Not Rian Johnson...

including a trilogy by David Benioff and D.B

Again no, they are demonstrating that without GRRM original material they can't write characters and logical story lines...

As a fan I want Star wars to rest in peace in our hearts an on bluray. Write original stuff guys!!

Didn't we all.

I actually preferred Solo and Rogue One to either of the two new trilogy films. Watching them made me feel like I was back in the 80s again - that sense of wonder and fun had returned.

I know there'll be a TV series called The Mandalorian, and from what I've seen it looks good, but this announcement is bonkers. It's bad enough sketching out the future of Marvel films, without more Star Wars. As for Avatar... god that was a bore.

Can't stand the first two of the new trilogy. I won't bother watching the third. I've really enjoyed the Star Wars Stories though. Rogue One was great, and Solo wasn't as bad as I'd thought it would be. It was still much better than the latest trilogy offerings. It was turned into a nice comic book miniseries.

Not sure about anyone else here, but I have mostly enjoyed the novels. When I lived in Japan some Nova teacher started me reading them. Turned from high literature to Sci-fi trash and still love it. Some are quite terrible, but there are hundreds of titles, so it's been enough to keep my love for the universe alive, even when one sucks. But the new extended universe (ie the trilogy)... they botched them right from The Force Awakens. What a POS. I mean, anything that can make the prequels look good has got to be destined for the dumpster fire of movie history.

PS, if you want to see Tosche Station, go and look up the cut footage from the original trilogies. It's pretty grainy, but wow did it send chills down my spine. Like I was a child again.

Disney is the same as boring. Is there any way to get away from this drivel?

'Avatar' is a predictable cliché-ridden piece of garbage with computer graphic technology and 3D effects. All that jive isn't much if the movie (story) itself isn't good and in this case it isn't. I can't imagine having a sequel to that piece of junk and it's been about 10 years since it came out. Rinse, repeat, recycle - and you still have rubbish!
