Dolly Parton's crossover rock album tops charts

Praise be Dolly, Willie , Kris and the other 'woke' country music icons who speak truth to power and carry on the great tradition of people like Woodie Guthrie.

The online reviews from sites like Pitchfork and Sputnik aren't very good but the public seems to think otherwise. And Dolly has selected a bunch of good guests, even if most of the covers she does are of tired overplayed oversaturated standards. My only objection is having that boorish pornographic Kiddy Crock guesting on this disc.

Nonetheless, for all the minuses (and plusses) it's on top of the Top 200 Album charts and it's still far better than the garbage that clogs the charts and media today.

77 years and still 'making more noize' as Slade would've put it. Well done, Dolly!

Talented icon who has been able to stay classy and relevant. But ludicrous that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducted her. Then again.....ABBA, Jay-Z, and Whitney Houston were inducted too.

And it took forever for RUSH, Roxy Music and Kraftwerk to get in. NIN and Depeche Mode got in before the latter, RUSH got in before Yes, and Metallica is in but Motorhead isn't. Go figure.

I don't know how you argue Whitney Houston and Jay-Z don't belong in the R&R hall of fame. It's more of a pop hall of fame, after all.
