Dolly Parton is a treasure. Long may she bring joy to the world.

“That was kind of my way to honor my dad, because the Bible says to honor your father and mother,” she said. “And I don’t think that just means, ‘just obey.’ I think it means to bring honor to their name and to them.”

This! And the ubiquitous lack of honor towards one's parents these days (since one parent is commonly absent) reflects on the apostacy that is prevalent in most nations today.

Dolly is a true humanitarian.

See, here is a rich person. She has a lot of money. She could horde it and hire experts to see to it she doesn't have to pay taxes. And here she is chipping in what sure seems like more than just a little bit to help society. Most of the rich wouldn't do this even if they had been through what she's been through. She's a hero. Who wouldn't be moved by her story and what she does to help. (Plus she's a terrific singer-song writer.)

We are members of this program. Signed up at my child's birth (literally at the hospital) and get a book mailed to our home every month free of charge. Always a fun day when one shows up in the mail for the kid. Dolly's a saint if you ask me.

I just hope some of those books make it to girls in Afghanistan.

The more I learn about Dolly, the more I see how much more amazing she is as a human. I'd like to see Dolly and Trump talk. Dolly would "win."

Parton was proud of it because her mother likened it the multicolored coat that is told about in the Bible — a fantastic gift from Jacob to his son Joseph.

There should be some kind of system for secular canonization because Dolly is a saint and American heroine.

She may be an 'island in the stream' but she is making quite an impression here!

Of course, it's so easy to dismiss this as just another 'tax write off' but at least she is making something good with it. Something that would impact others positively.

And may I mention that thanks to her advocacy many American lives were saved due to her Covid vaxx promotions?

There's talk that the Dirtbag Caligula may be chickening out of a debate with Kamala. He can't accept or face strong women, or women with sense.

And as for him and Dolly in a 'conversation', he isn't MAN ENOUGH to be with or even face, let alone 'talk' anything with a mature smart woman like Dolly, or Kamala or many others. He's not a 'man' at all.
