Ebi-chan, husband ILMARI welcome birth of baby boy

Popular Japanese model Yuri Ebihara, 36, has announced the birth of her first child on her official blog.

Ebihara, popularly called Ebi-chan, did not reveal the exact birth date of her son, though the blog entry, in which she shared her feelings of becoming a mother for the first time, was posted on Wednesday.

“When I see him sleeping on my chest, I am overwhelmed with a feeling of tenderness. I have never experienced such happiness in my life so far. I get surprised by his loud crying and I’m moved by everything every day,” she wrote.

“Now that I have someone to protect, I hope that I can continue to evolve as a mother and as a woman,” Ebihara wrote, ending her blog entry with a gratitude message to her fans for their continuous support.

Ebihara married ILMARI, a Finnish-Japanese and a lead member of the popular Japanese hip-hop group RIP SLYME, in December 2009.

A very unflattering photo indeed. She was great as the pitchman for ZESPRI kiwifruit years ago.

I think this is a feeling almost all of us who have children can relate with.
