Says a lot about uk artists over the last decade

Previous recipients of that award include Paul McCartney and Justin Bieber.

Not much else in common between the two

I can't believe how low is the level of music worldwide today. If someone had said to me at least 25 years ago that this would have been the future, I wouldn't have believed him.

Every generation says that. And every generation has great stuff to listen to and dross as well.

LOL at people becoming their parents :-)

Have a look at the top 100 singles of 1994 and say that again:

He writes, plays and performs.

Fair play to him.

@Ah_so: I see some decent names there, like Bruce Springsteen and others. Today it's impossible to find something decent.

@Toasted: my favourite music is from the 60s, the 70s and the 80s, despite I was only a child during the 80s. I never appreciated the music of "my generation".

He is better than that stupid UK phenom of the 90s - the Spice Girls. As George Harrison put it: 'the best you can say about them is that you always watch their video wit the sound turned down'.

If it weren't for the 'indy' artists I find on the net, there'd be nothing to listen to today. However, there are some good new acts but the charts do not reflect what people want to hear, and radio programmers are chicken.
