We think everyone was reassured after this NY headline May 1, 2021 before the week’s rehearsals;

SNL offers cast members a 'safe space' if they're too triggered to perform with Elon Musk” -

Musk is so crappy he even made Wario unfunny.

Great fun. Great man.

Wokeness overload.

The casting choice brought criticism from those who felt the show was celebrating a man for his exorbitant wealth in a time of great inequality and a man who spread misinformation to his huge Twitter following as he downplayed the severity of the coronavirus crisis.

Wokeness overload.

What does this mean?

2 ( +4 / -2 )

It means that is in no way an accurate description of either Elon Musk as a person, our current situation or an accurate representation of anything that he has actually done or said.

overdramatic nonsense for the “woke” crowd to lap up. “A time of great inequality”? Seriously?

It is, though. Musk said that Covid would be gone by April last year, and that it would be nothing to worry about, even as half a million Americans have died. Has that happened?

“A time of great inequality”? Seriously?

Yes. Inequality is a serious problem in the US, and across the world. And SNL hosting someone whose wealth came from his father owning an apartheid mine is, as the kids say, a choice.
