5 year farewell tour? Let’s hope he makes it to the end

And then, after that, Elton and Cher will go on another farewell tour together as a duo.

Come on, sport. He’s one of the biggest selling artists in history.
Very talented musician.

The Liberace of pop music. Apparently, has to pay for the upkeep on his properties, with a never-ending farewell tour. Tickle those ivories Elton. That's not music, it's the sound of money.

@ Richard Gallagher . Fully agree. The trigger is always MONEY. He has enough money to retire and slow down. Sadly, this is the world we live in today - celebrity culture, fame and greed.

Always thought Elton was an odd guy over the years, his politics all over the place, moody, rude often, but the guy is one serious talent that cannot be understated, he's most definitely a defined and seriously talented musician of the highest order. Wish I could see his concert. I still wish him all the best anyway, he deserves every bit of it.

With KISS as their backup band! They're always on their 'farewell tour'. Remember when they said that in 1999?
Elton himself he was going to quit back in 1984.
He's just another trend-chaser like the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Stealy Dan that play ancient songs at such obscene ticket prices. And Elton hasn't done anything substantial for nearly 25 years, that was with that remake of a 3 time hit dedicated to Lady Di. And zillions of people bought the single and chucked it.
Elton hasn't doesn't put out anything that I really care for since 1989 - 1990. It's time for him to walk that yellow brick road to full retirement.
