I'd a chance to see Graceland a decade or so back. Wish I'd gone. Not sure I'll ever visit the US again, sadly.

Still, we'll always have the music.

Why not? Graceland is worth a visit and you can get to Nashville ( great place ) in a few hours.

I'm sure it is. But various factors conspire against me, at the moment. I imagine there's various reasons many, many of us can't travel at the moment.

Maybe things will be different in a few years.

I was there when I was 17 years old. It's impressive enough, you get to see some soul records he had (he listened to them alot, always searching for ways to integrate their qualities into his voice) and there's his car collection, a motorcycle, gold and platinum record awards (yet he only got THREE Grammys!) aaannnddd some destroyed TVs. Every Jan. 8 and Aug. 16 is a religious holiday there, and I mean RELIGION. I had two neighbors when I grew up who would flock to Graceland on those dates. Elvis certainly is an icon of rock'n'roll unquestionably but this isn't a fan club for those types, it is a religion.
