Out curiosity I took a look at Emma’s IMDB page. She’s done nothing profound in her career so I’m guessing this is just Hollywood pushing for her to get some kind of useless award.

The storyline about aging women seeking adventures that they shunned at an earlier age is one that is very common in real life. Divorcees and widows are eager to experience romantic fantasies while they still can.

As for America's Dad, tens of millions of American males grew up with Bill Cosby as Carole model. Unfortunately, his bad habits have been widely emulated, and date rape and drugging are still out of control.

I don't see why the full nudity would be needed to make the point or the message other than it gets better press coverage.

This though is the greatest myths of modern times.

Come on folks, the female body and male body has been through period after period century after century of art etc.. depicting the "ideal" female or male body or look going all the way back to antiquity.

Egyptian Pharoah, Greek gods, Roman gods Emperors their wives, etc... All overly masculine or feminine exaggerating the parts seen at the time to be the "ideal" look for men or women.

She and her husband moved to Venice and were given Italian citizenship but the moment the covid broke there she raced back to her house in Scotland. It's very hard for ordinary people to live in Venice.

She campaigns about the environment then takes private jets.

This is why money talks, when you have it you can do whatever you want, she has the right to be a hypocrite when you have cash, you can afford it.

Emma Thompson seems like she's pushing the same agenda Madonna is pushing.

They talk about female empowerment, feminism, while at the same time seeking male attention and energy. All that female empowerment is making women never accept their age or life decisions. Always blame men for not meeting their high standards and demands.

A woman who's a 5 on the scale in western feminism country, she thinks she deserves a man that's a 8 or 9. When that doesn't happen, it's the Men's fault. No good men left apparently.

These are independent films, not even based in the US

and I will fight you for Emma Thompson’s favours anytime. 

To each their own. Is it her fame or her looks? I remember her on 'Cheers' and such way back in the early 90s. now her hair is white. Funny how time flies, isn't it?

Me too. This 'Mrs. Robinson' stuff is a bit warped. Chasing a 29 y/o when you're 62? Crazy. And the same goes for older men chasing younger women who are half their age. There comes a time in your life when you have to grow up and act/think your age. These May-December 'romances' aren't real.

@FizzBit - clearly, you are unfamiliar with Ms. Thompson's work. If you saw The Children Act alone, you wouldn't boldly state that she's "done nothing profound". There's a reason why she's a two time Oscar winner and three time BAFTA Awards winner.
