More background is needed in the article. "The Wiggles were named Business Review Weekly's top-earning Australian entertainers for four years in a row and earned A$45 million in 2009. They have earned 17 gold, 12 platinum, three double-platinum, and ten multi-platinum awards for sales of over 17 million DVDs and four million CDs ". These guys will be missed.

Funny this article makes no mention of the real reason for the retirement of three of the members. Apparently there was huge backlash over the way they handled the sacking of the fill in yellow guy. And that also contributed to the guys decision to retire..

So glad Anthony is staying on. Loved him ever since he was a Cockroach. Still got it. The other three are looking a bit ragged round the edges and could do with a change. Looking forward to the new lineup. Long live The Wiggles!

My kids love the wiggles. My little boy is always immigrating captain feathersword. They are very successful entertainers and I am both glad and sad to see them retiring. However, I am sure the new line up will keep the wiggles alive.

Wow! Never heard of them either! But seems like good fun.

I am just wondering why there is no green wiggle? Seems more a natural than purple.

There is no green Wiggle because they use a lot of green screen for effects.
