American singer Erykah Badu will perform in Japan to promote her latest album, "New Amerykah Part 2," which will be released on April 14. Badu will perform at Zepp Tokyo on April 16 and Yokohama Bay Hall on April 17, according to promoter Positive Production.
Since 1997 when she released "Baduizm," Badu has been a mainstay in the R&B/soul/hip-hop genre's for over 10 years. It has been five years since Badu has toured in Japan. Tickets cost 7,000 yen-10,000 yen.
In addition to the two concerts, Badu will also attend a VIP Meet and Greet/New Album Release Party at 57 in Roppongi on April 15 from 7 p.m.-11 p.m. Admission is 10,000 yen. Those attending will be presented with a signed 8x10 photograph of Badu, who will be rocking the party at some point in the night as DJ Erykah Badu.

D*mn, too bad its only Tokyo. Wouldve loved to go if it was in Osaka. But hopefully she will only play her older tunes. Album 1 and 2. Her latest album was horrible!
