Still, Harris saw a sympathetic undertone to her character, often saying Estelle fumed out frustration at her bumbling mate and scheming slacker of a son.

Her and Jerry Stiller were comedy gold. Iconic 90's stories. They will be missed.

As the grandson of old-school working-class New Yorkers, I loved watching her and Jerry Stiller play their parts on Seinfeld. They were a true joy to watch.

The characters of Frank & George would not have been believable without Estelle’s watchful eyes and commentary.

- “I lived with him for forty years, I never saw him trying on my underwear. As soon as he leaves the house, he turns into J. Edgar Hoover!” -

- “I don't understand you. I really don't. You have nothing better to do at three o’clock in the afternoon? I go out for a quart of milk, I come home, and find my son treating his body like it was an amusement park!” -

She was always funny. She reminded me of my friend’s grandmother. Every time she opened her mouth, something funny came out.
