Model and television personality Rie Hasegawa, 38, married her 47-year-old boyfriend in the U.S. last week, tabloid media reported Tuesday.
Hasegawa and her husband held a symbolic ceremony in Oregon, where the pair used to do marathon training together, Sankei Shimbun reported.
Back in April, Josei Seven magazine reported that Hasegawa and her boyfriend, who is a representative director for a coffee chain management company, were expecting their first child. It also reported that the couple were spotted visiting a Tokyo high-class jewelry store together. However, sources at the time said the couple were planning to wed in June.
Hasegawa's talent management company sent a fax to media outlets explaining that the couple still plan to submit their marriage papers on June 3 in Japan. The couple are expecting their first child in early November.
