Bob Marley is one of the artists I wish I could have seen live even though I’m not a big reggae fan. I heard he was sensational.
Maybe, but in a good cause. Good enough.

Why not?
Musical snobbery is so boring.

I don’t think anyone can top the genius of Nigel Blackwell in expressing this:
Give me Love, give me Can, give me Meatloaf
Give me Rush, give me Marquee Moon
Michael Ball, or The Fall
I could listen to them all
In the twilight or the afternoon
Irk the purists
Irk the purists
Irk the purists
It’s a right good laugh

Damian's work is impressive, as is Stephen's. Never really got into Ziggy's output.
“(The) song is very special because of (its) message. It’s a song of equality. One love meaning love for everyone, for all humanity. It doesn’t matter the color, creed or social status or anything like that. It’s appreciating the human family. ‘One heart, let’s get together and feel all right,’” eight-time Grammy winner Stephen Marley said. “It’s a very important statement to my family.”
Aye, appreciate the sentiment. And it's important for all of us. Lots of love will go towards helping heal this blighted world.

I just wonder what some people want from music. I like to have a variety of stuff out there. Bubblegum pop is fun.
I can play a good ‘Oops, I did it again’ on acoustic. I ripped it off Richard Thompson but I’m quite proud of it. Good song.

Yup.
Loving music means fun, variety and whatever lights your fire. Of course, it's subjective but what the hell...
Give me Chai, ABBA, Orville Peck, Beyonce, Nick Cave, Dead Can Dance, Nicki Minaj, Led Zep, Prince, Bewitched... whatever!

Never liked bubblegum crap, but it does have its share of fans. As far as Bob Marley is concerned, the man was a genius and a hell of a lyricist always have these great cord progressions, not technically difficult music to play guitar wise, but rhythmically it is something to try and challenge. Marley was one of the first bands along with the Police that same year I saw back in 1979, I was still a kid, but was completely mesmerized his performance.

I can't argue with that. He had a broad range of fans too. I remember a Scottish politician, Teddy Taylor, who was a fan. He was a very old-fashioned style Conservative, someone who I would have considered miles apart from Bob Marley. But he said one of his favorite songs was Three Little Birds (Don't worry about a thing). Apparently his daughter had played it in the car once, and he listened and fell in love with the lyrics.

The man was to me the image of cool. Just like Steve McQueen.
Way to young to die.
Much imitated, never bettered, sport.

I saw Ziggy 4 times - 3 with the Melody Makers one solo. He's great.
I admire Skip for working with Major Lazer but Katy Perry? Surely he can find better collaborators than that pop tart poser.

Never bettered. However, his oldest son Ziggy, tho does work with more modern stylings and such but voice wise he sounds closest to his legendary father. And at his shows every 4th song is a Bob Marley song. Ziggy does keep his father's legacy alive.
