East Asian young adults are far, far more attractive, on average, than British teens. Also much cleaner and more polite. So no big deal. Lol.

And as far as Miku being more popular than J-actors/actresses, it's simple - they're not being marketed like Miku or K-actors, so of course they're not as popular. Has nothing to do with not being used to "real Japanese looks", simply not the case.

And about the being comfortable thing, I thought that, generally speaking, us westerners find Japanese, Koreans, and Chinese/Taiwanese very attractive, no? Heck, thet even got us a derogatory term - "yellow fever", which I'm proudly a part of team J.

A goddess. Talent must run in her family.

Miku, now 16 years old, was developed in 2007 as an extension of Vocaloid software created by Sapporo-based firm Crypton Future Media Inc. and voiced by actress Saki Fujita.

With a voice created by a synthesizer, Miku soon became popular throughout Japan, where she regularly holds packed-out shows, as well as achieving global fame with the help of video streaming sites like YouTube and games featuring her music.

Collaborations with high-profile western artists including Pharrell Williams and Lady Gaga, who Miku supported on her 2014 U.S. tour, have also helped bring the singer's music to new audiences outside Japan.

During live shows Miku takes the form of an animated 3D hologram, with everything from vocals to dance moves computer-generated. A lack of physical constraints allows for creative costume and set design, explained Guillaume Devigne of Crypton Future Media, so shows are "very colorful."

Miku sounds like the perfect girlfriend.
