The average age of the audience at these shows must be around 45-50 years aged men.

Japan is back!

what kind of "culture" is that...
kurisupisu
It isn’t what anybody could call ‘culture’

I saw a concert performance where the audience were only allowed to clap. It was rather sad and cold.
Covid has been stripping away the things that give nations their unique identities and turning them into generic prison colonies. Human being are social creatures. The sooner we get back to normal the better. What is happening at the moment is not normal, and will never be.

Fans are middle age but after few years these idols will get married to what kind of guys, young salarymen? Then when they become middle age they will become the fans of next young idol group? Repetitive idol culture?

Man,
Look at the photo.
How on any planet can that be natural?
Teenagers on stage with a bunch of I-don't-know-whats watching them.
Those dudes in the audience are supposed to be either parenting their own similar aged kids or giving rides to their own kids to such concerts.
So creepy.

Successive idol culture, where the old teach the young, just like a family.

They’re still no match for kpop idols.

More than a match, kpop learns from these girls.

Nice!

Nothing like an article about idol groups to bring out the judgmental folks.
Kpop idols endure rigorous training from a young age and often receive plastic surgery. Meanwhile the Japanese idol groups are dominated by part-timers and college students where a crooked tooth is seen as something to adore by fans. I vastly prefer the Japanese scene.

A crooked tooth looks child-like, as in pre-pubescent. Creepy, if you ask me. The female K-Pop image, by contrast, is about young adult women.
Um...OK.

Life is very complicated before the invention of HEPA air filtration. All you can do is distance
Hans
K-pop is about gapjil, rape, and sexual bribery. I'll take crooked teeth over all that any day.

Perv culture. Pervert Paradise City.
this is just plain sick. And as a proud graduate of the Ohio State University, I take great offense with such a phony manufactured 'band' taking the moniker 'OSU'.
