Don't know his work other than the excellent True Detective. So if his take on Bond is of that quality then we are in for a treat.

He also directed the very dark "Beasts of No Nation". This is very good news, im looking forward to this.

Good choice; would never have thought of him but when you factor season one of True Detective into the decision - it makes sense.

As long as he isn't a member of the 'action shaky cam and constant cuts between views' crew where nothing can be clearly seen then good luck to him.

Even the mainstream of US citizens wouldn have only acknowledged that he was sub-American at most because of his non-European surname unless he didn't become a new director of the pretty famous movie series.

I think Ramon Rodriguez would make a great 007. To date, the best Bond was Roger Moore. Can't wait to hear from the Sean Connery fans, lol.
