Actor Eita, 25, has been stung by his first scandal over his love-life. The weekly photo magazine Flash published photos, on Tuesday, of Eita holding hands with a woman at a recent party in Tokyo
While Eita hasn't made any comment, his management agency told the magazine: “We understand they are just good friends and often have dinner together, but they are not dating.”

Wow, I think this shocker is going to top the Nioka-Mona scandal!

What a scandal! Fukuda should move the next extraordinary Diet session foreward to discuss this critical issue. ("sarcasm off")

Does People magazine get these great stories?

"Eita holding hands with a woman at a recent party in Tokyo"
Is this what constitutes a scandal in Japan?

This is an old spin tactic. You give up a little innocnet stuff, call it a 'scandal' and allow everyone to believe the myth that japanese celebs are super polite super holy super do no wrong. Unfortunately this kind of spin is ususally put out by agents and stuff, not news sources. So it would seem that at least this news source is biased on the side of "Japan people are kawaii and would never do anything wrong"

He likes women? Scandal indeed, the way these young Japanese guys look.

And how unfortunate he gets tarred with the same brush the media (in cahoots with the management agencies) uses on the lowliest "tarento", since he's a genuinely decent guy and, for someone who got roped into the business almost by accident, is turning into a talented actor as well.

Is he married? Is she married?
They'll be issuing proximity alarms soon.......

in japan you only touch your lover(wife or mistress), with other women it is only bowing and friendlyness from a distance, at least with the older generation.

This humble reader has it on good authority that Mr. Eita had his name placed into said maiden's dance card for that evening, but that he was unable to release her gloved form in a fit of wanton passion. I am further told that Mr. Eita escorted the maiden home, riding atop the very same carriage!
