TH was commenting about critics reviews, not lambasting the movie him/herself. Personally I am looking forward to seeing this movie. How about you?

I was commenting on the reviews of the movie and remarked it's a shame that it appears to have missed an opportunity.
I am a massive Queen fan (despite them breaking the apartheid boycott in the 80s) and was well aware of Freddie's sexuality long before my peers finally realised it. I remember one schoolmate throwing out his Queen LPs when the penny dropped! I was always bemused at the different reactions to Freddie's in-your-face campness and his Persian heritage.
I am saddened that the film appears to have mucked it up. But then again, music biopics are often hit and miss affairs. Oliver Stone's The Doors lazily promoted the Jim is a shaman myth and could have been less heavy-handed. But again, Val Kilmer's Morrison, like Malek, was a standout.

..Surviving Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor endorsed the film.
What about the other one (John Deacon)?

What a shame, the movie has been panned and is apparently a moralising sermon rather than a true representation of Mercury and the life he led.
Rami Malek, in fairness, seems to have captured Freddie's essence, so not a complete failure.

Very much looking forward to seeing it!

The previews on another website look amazing! I love Queen and the music of Queen has helped me through some really rough times in my life. I want to see this in the cinema to get the full sound of the film.
When I'm dead, I want to be remembered as a musician of some worth and substance.

I miss you Freddie. I will listen to Queen till my last breath on this Earth!

He's not a member of Queen - he quit quite some time ago.

Rami Malek is a great actor. Mr Robot was awesome!
Rami was born in America and is Coptic Christian, article got it wrong: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rami_Malek
If none of you haven't seen Mr Robot yet, please do, it's a very original story.
Its also free on Amazon Prime:

Highly viewed in Japan too.

So while original members of Queen praised the depictions of them and Mercury as true and accurate representations, you feel you're qualified to lambast the entire production, without having even seen it yet?
