One of the first 4K Ultra HD discs I got was Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II. David Attenborough's incredible documentaries of the earth show how the ecosystem requires coexistence with all things, including human's.

We're necessarily important to ourselves, and quite narcissistic as well as self serving. Being the most intelligent of things on earth also allows us to be abusive to the earth. The balance of goodness to mother nature has always been a difficult one for man's survival, but the lack of care toward nature leads to global warming and we need to increase our awareness and care.

The thing that sucks is it isn't for mother nature's sake, as often it is only for man's own survival, people care about. We're just passerby's to this earth. We need to take care of it, better.

Thanks to David Attenborough and his energy. He's one of the good one's.

Arguably the greatest living Englishman. Passionate about his subject, eloquent, intelligent and doesn’t take himself too seriously.

The whole package.

Looking forward to this. @sunfunbun, to a degree I agree with you but enlightened self interest can be a powerful motivator for humans, and as you say we are the ones who need to change our ways lest we destroy our selves, the world will survive, it’s ecological diversity may be damaged by our irresponsible actions but would recover as it has from far worse depredations.

Arguably the greatest living Englishman.

I couldn’t agree more. He’s certainly up there in the list of greatest living human.

One of the true friends of this planet.

The epic Life on Earth still holds up, 41 years later.

Whether life itself holds up over the next 41 years, well, let's make sure all his work and passion wasn't in vain.
