RIP. I had a crush on Egon back in the days.

I wonder how much of that is a change in the quality of the show and how much of that is just the added years of existence making us more jaded on the subject of sketch comedy? We've seen so much that a lot of it is "been there, done that" and not really funny to us anymore.

I hope he can collect plenty of spores, mold, and fungus in Heaven.

Once again, another great talent has left us way too soon. Ramis was from a generation of comedians that were just talented and naturally funny, these guys made the simplest and funniest films. Those days are gone, not much good of choices to select from, sad, very sad. Back in the day, SNL was pure classic, nowadays, it takes a lot to even get me to chuckle. Ramis RIP, you were an amazing and funny man, you will be seriously missed.

Besides a stellar career as a screenwriter, Ramis was also a lead writer on the syndicated comedy show SCTV, a comedy show that in many ways was as ground-breaking as NBC's Saturday Night LIve.

Most posters here are way too young to remember Ramis co-wrote and directed "Animal House"; by far the best comedy in the last quarter of the 20th century.
Thanks for all the laughs, Harold. You will be missed.

For my money, Caddyshack is the best comedy ever. Murray and Chevy Chase were great, but the real gem of the movie is the scenes with Ted Knight and Rodney Dangerfield.

I like the "Ghostbusters" movies and cartoon series.

Man, RIP. Ghostbusters 1 & 2 and the cartoon were my favorite moments in the 1980s.

Its hard to believe he was already 40 when Ghostbusters came out. I thought he was younger so I was surprised to hear he died. But he was almost 70 and Ghostbusters was 30 years ago. Where does the time go?
Until now I was not aware that Ramis co-wrote so many of these great movies. Groundhog Day is definitely one I wish I could have thanked him for in person.

I liked him very much, he inspired me the love for nerds since ghostbusters, so sad he's gone
Graham DeShazo
I loved him most in Srtipes.

"We came, we saw, we kicked it's ass!" As a kid, Ghostbusters was my favourite film. Groundhog Day was also a classic. Thanks for the memorable movies, Mr. Ramis - R.I.P.
