A giant poster of 8-girl Korean pop group AFTERSCHOOL will adorn the Shibuya 109 fashion center from Dec 5-25.

In the poster, which is 21 meters high and 9 meters wide, the girls are wearing golden costumes. Some 200 posters will also be put up inside Shibuya 109. A spokesperson for the group said they were honored by the posters.

Advertising that there will be advertising. So, if someone tweets this, will it be advertising that there will be advertising that there will be advertising?

Warning heeded. Will make sure to avoid Shibuya and Tokyo from Dec. 5-25, 2011.

"the girls are wearing golden costumes" This saved me from squinting at the tiny pictures. I though they were cosplaying C3P0's girlfriends.

Does anyone in Korea know who they are? What afterschool clubs are they in?

nice long legs so typical of those K girls. Don't think plastic surgery can lengthen the leg bones....................

Didn't you see Gattica?

Meanwhile, back on topic, I wonder how much it costs to rent that space for twenty days?

I like Nana the best. I wonder how many of these broads had plastic surgery.

Good question gaijinfo.

Probably one of the most expensive spots in all of Tokyo. Viewed by teenyboppers galore. Spending parents cash.

The young ladies look very nice. Hope they make some money.

I LIKE the idea of a Korean group looking out over central Shibuya!

Whoever put this smart collage of business and cultures together might be doing Japan-Korea relations a great and valuable favor in this time of frequent mutual miscommunication and untested distrust. Packaged they may be, but the image of individual Korean kids mixing their world among individual young Japanese and vice versa has to be welcome. This ad will put this in mind. Appare, planners.

TorafusuTorasan: "Does anyone in Korea know who they are? What afterschool clubs are they in?"

Likely. Most of the Korean bands that are successful here have already been successful (and some washed out) in Korea. To my knowledge they are not assembling 'Korean bands' here... yet. Might make a good sales gimmick for Johnny's, though.

I think these Korean lovelies are just so beautiful!! I do not care if they have a bit a plastic surgery to fix their eyes etc..fine by me!
