AKBfan: "Still not as cute as AKB"

With it's 14 year olds in panties? Still sick.

blackrock: As has been pointed out, don't forget a number of those girls are not only minors, but can be called little girls. And talent? AKB has ZERO, and while the Korean girl and boy bands are assembled in much the same way as J-bands and similar bands world-wide, the K-pop bands can ACTUALLY sing, and can do some amazing choreographed moves, whereas most Japanese bands cannot (they sometimes have backup singers/dancers that can) -- have you ever heard SMAP sing live? they are HORRIBLE. Koda Kumi and other so-called singers often lip-sync, and AKB have so many members you can't hear what they sound like anyway -- not to mention SK doesn't follow the same brand of perversion that is a requirement for success with girl-bands here.

As for the pictures themselves, very, very nice legs. Tried to click on a pic and enlarge to get a better view of... well... their faces and the rest, but the 'thumbnail' in this article is actually larger than the pic that comes up when you click.

Suddenly i have no problem with long flights anymore.

I have to give it to their art director: the pictures are really well made, especially the first one (on the stairs). Legs, Legs, Legs, legs everywhere...

What airline is that!?

Dokdo Airlines

good looks, sweet legs but talents? meh. At least AKB are bikini hardcores :D

@smith: SK bands with auto-tune in almost any songs, meh. What kind of talent is that?. The only SK singer I like is Boa Kwon, she has great voice & dancing skill, good thing she sings in Japanese too. As for bands, S.E.S and Baby V.O.X were awesome. As of now, only girlsband good enough is Sistar. Don't give a d a m n about gaysbands. So don't think you know better than me.

Now back to Japanese singers: have you ever listened to Tiara and Beni? that's high class J-pop. AKB are just eye-candies, I love to watch, not so to hear.

Nice copy of Passpo's concept.

Here's Passpo Shojo Hiko release more than a year ago : http://www.nautiljon.com/images/cd/00/10/shojo_hiko_34801.jpg?1304871195

This is so blatant ...

Wow Clement, must of missed that one. Pretty obvious rip off!

How come flight attendants never look like that on any airline that I fly with? I usually go to Australia with Qantas and you're lucky to see any female flight attendants.

Smith, apparently you believe that AKB is made up of 14 year olds. Well, I actually took the time to do some research. There are currently 67 members, many of them being "trainees" who never appear in public, kind of like an understudy. They never rank in the popularity rankings or "elections" that they have once a year. Anyway, the ages of the top 7 most popular members range from 18 to 26, with an average age of 22. You do realize that when Girl's Generation debuted 5 years ago, all members were teenagers, from 16 to 18 years old, right?

@Brainiac

How come flight attendants never look like that on any airline that I fly with?

They used to, well, almost, back when they were still called stewardesses. It was a job requirement for most airlines. They were a lot more friendly, too.

Most had plastic surgery.

This pretty much sums them up.

The Korean ladies are not bow legged like the Japanese girls, even though they sure can look alike.

They all look alike?

love it

LOL. But with Qantas you might get "lucky" and have John Travolta in the pilot's seat.

Back in the "glory days" of jet travel (i.e. the 60's when I was too young to buy a ticket), there were the extremely sexist ads that were along the lines of "I'm Bridget, Come Fly Me!" The stewardesses (the politically correct "flight attendant" hadn't been coined yet) all wore the mini skirts and boots like you see in the photos here and the airlines had strict appearance codes that basically meant that once crow's feet appeared around the eyes, you were "retired" no matter how hot your body still was. So if you want to see this on your plane, you'll need to find Dr. Who and his Tardis. Of course, then you'll have to deal with everyone smoking on the plane, so maybe the experience wouldn't be as great as you thought.

Oh well, they all look alike to me pretty but when they stand in line, bland. As for stewardesses, SQ, Singaporean Airlines!

@Matthew: Korean airlines? ^^

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Reminds me of the "Come, Fly me" CMs.

wow!this is news...

Legs, Legs, Legs, legs everywhere...

And all the boards did shrink.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

What airline is that!?

Not sure but whatever it is, it must have a lot of leg room!

Readers, AKB48 is not relevant to this particular discussion. Please stay on topic.

Woah mamma! Like the top picture very much. Going through some serious 'turbulence' right now.....

Is this seriously news?

I have flied with Korean Air before. Flight Attendants wear the ancient Korean consume and their hair style is representing Ancient Korean too. In my eyes, real Flight attendants of Korean Air are charming, feminine, natural and more oriental. Girl Generation members image is very identical each other and hard to identify who is who. They are over polished and unnatural.

However they are sexy ladies as PSY mentioned in his song. They looks very nice with Air hostess uniforms.

"The Korean ladies are not bow legged like the Japanese girls.." It seems to me the majority of Japanese girls is knock-kneed, the opposite of bowlegged. Most Korean girls in all the bands seem to have beautiful straight and long legs.

Of course, opting for high heels instead of nerdy, high school looking shoes has something to with it as well. That puts me firmly in the K-pop fan base, that and the choreography!!

Well now, perhaps I should start flying Korean airlines from now on.

talents? meh.

If you seriously care, my condolences are extended.

All of the people in Japan that don't like this poster are just pure jealous. They can't face the fact that the Japanese entertainment business is on a downward swirl while the Korean entertainment business are booming like a sky rocket that's headed for the stars. Just watch YouTube and or TV. You will see that everything is turning to Korea. We have K-pop that is successful now, we have Korean dramas that are doing great and which is getting very high ratings and just recently, we have Psy who created the Gangdam Style song and dance that went viral and which took YouTube by storm.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Is this seriously news?

Yes, it is. As you may notice it is under the "Entertainment" section. Now quit complaining people.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Still not as cute as AKB
