Giving the western some swagger in 'The Harder They Fall'

Totally and historically false!

The term cowboy was around long before cowhand and was used for all and was derived from the same term used in Spanish.

These constant attempts at rewriting history to suit an agenda is out of hand!

Yes about 25% of cowboys were black after the US civil war, but the use of both cowboy and cowhand predate the civil war by decades.

Obviously, the people who are making these statements do not understand basic logic. If one in four cowboys were black, then having a movie that was only black people and pretend white people did not exist might be argument for racism. For example, when white western movies starred only white people including playing asians, native americans and sometimes blacks. Also, theses white westerns made the white actors the heroes and the minorities (Native americans, blacks, hispanics and asians) the bad guys or support for the bad or white hero.

However, the movie has plenty of white people. In fact, it has trains and towns full of white people that outnumber the main characters of this story that are black. Also, the good guys or women and bad guys are black. The movie is also based all real-life events in American history. So, how is it racist, again?

It seems like some posters want to stir up imaginary outrage for ad revenue!!!!

Yawn, not worth my hard-earned money

From the accompanying photos, it be interesting to see if this movie follows what seems to be the current Hollywood script trend to mostly, avoided ‘male-on-female’ violence:

OR, will it choose to depict “life” as it was at the time: Very difficult for everyone.
