Godzilla is a hibakusha...

They ought to be a big full-bodied one like the Gundam in Odaiba.

Since Godzilla has been granted Tokyo residency, after trashing the city so many times, I think it's only fair that Mothra (Mosura) be given similar recognition.

Didn't I just read somewhere that the government has been cracking down on the number of characters used to promote various products? How is this different?

If he does a good job, we can promote him to Prime Minister. Who needs arrows when you can breath fire?

Wow! The lengths that Japan will go to increase the population is incredible! What's next? Will Kumamon become a resident of Kumamoto?

Cool! I live in Shinjuku, just down the street from G.

Come to Tokyo.....Godzilla's favorite stomping grounds!

Not a very positive way to go about getting residency -- smashing buildings, scaring the residents, and serving as a reminder of nuclear accidents -- but you gotta love Godzilla!

Godzilla -- what's not to love? Now that he is a resident of Tokyo, will he run for mayor?

Godzilla? Glad to see him back. He's a cool dude. We'd like to have him over for a barbecue and let him grill some yakisoba or yakitori with his atomic breath.

was born a genetic aberration, caused by nuclear testing in the Pacific Ocean.

Wonder whether his residency card lists him a Japanese or not LOL!

It's going to be quite hard for Japan to top last years blockbuster i'm afraid.

Little irony that the monster awoken by the release of radiation rears his head again.
