Godzilla king of the monsters!!!...

Much has been made of the pairing of “Oppenheimer” and “Barbie,” but the better double feature for Christopher Nolan’s film might be “Godzilla Minus One.”

Godzilla Minus One is a master work of taking a legacy property and producing a masterwork at this scale on a budget.

Should be up for Best Picture.

I must have seen all the Godzilla movies except this one and its predecessor (both on target for me to watch). If it's a Godzilla movie then it's good. I grew up with this monster. He deserves any Oscar they want to give him.

Good luck.

-1 doesn't need Oscar vindication. It's already had an impact overseas for the people who matter and has made Hollywood rethink their bloated budgets, amateur writing, and awful CGI. A well crafted film with characters and a narrative audiences can connect with and a menacing monster with tons of symbolism.
