I have no respect for Mel and his racist remarks. Being drunk is not a good excuse for being a racist.

So, "The Big Short" is in the comedy category? I haven't seen it yet, but I'm a little shocked since this movie IS about the 2008 crisis, or am I wrong? If that boring mad mad film wins they will lose a lot more viewers.
Glad to Mel Gibson back. Great actor, writer, and director. And shonanbb, lighten up a little, drunken rantings should never be taken seriously.

What does "Force Awakens" have to do with the Golden Globes? Just because a movie is hyped it doesn't mean it should be included in every award category/ceremony. Most people agree that while it was fun to watch, it's not exactly acting award worthy.

@Maria: They're just explaining that even though Star Wars is the biggest movie of the year, it will not be part of this year's Golden Globes due to the timing of it's release.
Probably included in the article to keep the discussion of Star Wars to a minimum and/or dissuade people who take a look at the full list to NOT go "omg! why no Star Wars!!!111"
..is my guess anyway.
