Donald Glover's all over the place at the moment, a very talented man. Hopefully this will be better than the Last Jedi, which was utter bolleaux, nearly as dire as that Jar Jar Binks debacle.

I’m still not certain this is the story that I needed to have told, but I love Star Wars. I’ll see it and hope for the best.

Love Donald Glover, I’m looking forward to seeing a young Lando more than Solo to be honest.

And cue The Last Jedi arguments!

I agree with you about TLJ, it was a poorly written turd with pretty special effects. I might have been ok with some of the different directions it took, but I couldn't find out because it was just a really bad movie.

But unlike a lot of people, I haven't written off Star Wars completely. I think Solo looks like fun, but I'm a little worried about Glover. From what I've seen so far, it looks like he's playing his character from Community playing Lando. We'll see.

Ehrenreich was great in Hail Caesar! so I am optimistic that this new Solo film just might capture that old Star Wars magic. With the strong supporting cast it just might. However...

It is the story being told that really matters.

I will hope for the best and take the ride.

As always, time will tell.

I want to see a young Chewy, before he was fully house trained.

They should go younger than 20s. Try 10. Have a Young Sheldon feel. 20s is too close to age of original Han solo.

Donald Glover is the man, and Woody Harrelson also is a draw. So what if Ehrenreich isn't Ford - this is young Solo, he has to grow into the character we see in A New Hope.

If it's half as good as TLJ, I'll be happy.

TLJ was the subject of much speculation by "fans" who had all their little theories about how it would pan out. They're still smarting because it spoiled their conjecture and delivered a bold break with the past.

I think Solo will play it safer than Rian Johnson's epic but there's room for Ron Howard workmanship as well.
