Gouriki wins 'E-Line' award for most beautiful profile

Actress Ayame Gouriki, 20, is the recipient of this year’s “E-Line Beautiful” award from the Japan Association of Adult Orthodontics.

The award is given to the female celebrity with the most beautiful profile due to perfect alignment of the teeth. The association also judges a candidate from the bridge of her nose to her chin.

”I try to chew evenly with my back teeth," Gouriki said in response to winning the award on Sunday. "I hope I can keep my natural profile."

"Hey--check out the 'bridge of the nose to the chin' on that girl!"

My ex has a better profile than her - and perfect teeth!

Don't like her over acting in the zillion commercials she is in.

Dont understand her appeal. See prettier girls an any random McDonalds. I guess she is the Julia Roberts of Japan or something.

I'm not fan of surgery, but if you must, that clinic is probably the good choice. What they did on that girl is really nice. She had the chin like a square before.

What?? Is that a good thing?

It's what the molars are made for.

”I try to chew evenly with my back teeth,” What? That is the best line she can come up with? Sounds ridiculous. Anyway, yeah sure, she is a pretty 20-year old. Rake in the yen whilst thou mayest.

Perhaps "I try to chew evenly with my back teeth" was the least ridiculous of her options? Gotta say something the orthodontists. "Sometimes I masticate in public" might be misinterpreted." "Masticate" means "chew."

And she's not the only one, either. Overacting seems to be a form of art in Japan.
