The CMHOF never let Ray in probably due to racial as well as musical issues. Country music today is such a joke today - Darius Rucker is a bland pop dullard with no soul whatsoever.

There was quite a bit of musical crossovers at the time regardless, courtesy of Ray Charles and others. They called it ROCK as Nick Lowe would say. The country music HOF boobs might not have got it but the R+R HOF sure did - Ray's in there.

Ray Charles, like other 'cross-genre' artists need never worry. No matter what or who are you are, if you have the talent and made the impact there's always a welcoming place for you in rock'n'roll.
