Hamasaki dating one of her dancers

Singer Ayumi Hamasaki is dating one of her dancers. Hamasaki, 34, made the announcement Wednesday night on her fan club website.

The lucky man is Maro Uchiyama, 28. "We are in a serious relationship," Hamasaki wrote. "Of course, my motto is still ‘work is work, private is private.’ I will keep performing my best.” On his blog, Uchiyama said: "This might sound selfish but I want to continue being in a relationship with Ayu.”

Uchiyama has been Hamasaki's dancer since 2007.

Sounds like she is hitting the sheets with a new loser!

guess she hasn't learnt her lesson on picking up guys who are not worth it. Let's see how long this lasts and how awkward it will be once they both decide it to call it quits and then hear about it on here :)

guess she likes being with the "young guys" :) Let's see how long "this one" lasts.

This guy is currently in a divorce with a 40+ year old. And she in a divorce with the foreign guy. This is just to get her face in the headlines again.

http://asiapacificarts.usc.edu/article@apa?ayumi_hamasaki_donates_35_million_yen_to_relief_efforts_in_japan_16535.aspx

singer Ayumi Hamasaki has been very active in contributing to disaster relief, donating money and spreading messages to her followers on her Twitter account (including retweeting victim's posts, emergency numbers, and safety information). On Friday, March 18, her record label Avex disclosed that she donated 30 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross. She previously donated 5 million yen, totaling in 35 million yen (approximately $450,000) to relief efforts in hard-hit areas. In addition, she also collaborated with well-known fashion magazine ViVi in selling charity T-shirts that she designed herself. The sales from the T-shirt (at 1,500 yen each) will all go towards alleviating victims of the disaster.

Can't say I'm a fan, but she donated a lot more than I did.

Do you know the guy? I mean it sound to me like you are jealous huh? If she was dating you would you feel the same way? You aren't worth it?

You think she's too good for him? Hell she is just an entertainer and not the Queen of England.

Yawn! Who cares? Most very BORING news!

Complaining that articles in the Entertainment section "are not news" is like complaining that the characters in a manga title are not real. DUH! That's why the article is in the Entertainment section. It's also in the headline section because it's the headline for the Entertainment section. I could see your complaint if it was listed in the National or Politics sections, but Entertainment? It's exactly where it should be.

I think this is unlucky choice for Uchiyama because Ayumi don't know her likes .How long it will last?,because Ayumi is a manizer.****

Ayu having another boyfriend is suppose to be news? Really? I suppose we need to know every time she uses the toilet, or catches a cold too... Ayu is so yesterday, no one gives her any thought. The only reason why she has a boyfriend is a poor effort to stay relevant in the public eye. 99.95% of Japan no longer cares what she does anymore...

My goodness. Well first of all i am happy for both of them and wish them well. He sounds sincere and nice, and she is amazing, her efforts to help others are a very very commendable example and I wish many other stars, actors and idols were as well intentioned and actually put their good intentions into action. Remarkable..and i am very happy to hear this news.

What the article fails to mention, and is arguably more newsworthy, is that it is more of an 'affair' than a 'relationship', as her dancer friend is still married. One could wonder why his wife is divorcing him, and Hamasaki is also getting a divorce. The reasons given for the latter are that her husband is a foreigner and wants to be in the US, whilst she wants to stay in Japan. That's a convenient PR reason if you imagine they never considered that before getting married. Could it just possibly be that Hamasaki and her dancer have been caught out? None of my business of course, but in terms of reporting it does rather look like the article was penned by Hamasaki's agent.
