■BAND-MAID

A rock band that dresses up in maid clothing, refers to their lives as "service" and fans as "masters" and "princesses". Their twin-vocal combination reminds of "shadow" and "light", and their skillful and powerful instrument team backs the two vocalists up with passionate hard rock sound. They are still a young band with a history of only 3 years, but despite that they have already played at big venues such as SHIBUYA-AX and Zepp Tokyo, Momoiro Clover Z's Event "AGO FES", "OTODAMA", "Niku ROCK Festival", and performed together with artists like Silent Siren, ORESKABAND, HEAD PHONES PRESIDENT, and many more.

They charm the listeners with their music that is the complete opposite of their looks, and their music video "Thrill" was played over 2,000,000 times within only 2 weeks after it was uploaded on Facebook. The video is being with a pace of 7,000 views per day on YouTube, and it has already topped 3,000,000 views on YouTube.

BAND-MAID also has passionate masters and princesses overseas (especially America, Canada, Mexico), and they held their first overseas service in Seattle, America in SAKURA-CON in March 2016. They also performed at MCM COMIC CON in London, UK in May of the same year, and will be holding their first overseas headlining show in Mexico, first headlining Europe Tour including shows in England, France, Germany and Poland in October 2016, and also perform at Lucca Comics & Games in Italy, Salón del Manga de Barcelona in Spain and E-Max Animate Extravaganza in Hong Kong in 2016.

A "world tour" that doesn't include the USA or Canada????

The World Series in reverse?

South America, Europe and Asia... So whoever wrote this thinks Mexico is in South America. Good job.

I had no idea that this band even existed. I was skeptical but you don't hear of J bands doing a world tour so I youtubed them. Wow - pleasantly surprised!

SenseNotSoCommon is good!

VIP IS SOLD OUT because their handlers are those who have the tickets. I think this is nothing but a publicity stunt how do you go on tour with our touring in two of the biggest markets!

...and this is newsworthy because???

5SpeedRacer5 - If you like rock, then yes. They do play their own instruments and are quite accomplished. Regarding the gimmicky part - They are reflecting maid cafe culture which is quite huge in Japan. Wiki it some time. I had no idea either until I saw them.

They're a bit gimmicky but not bad at all.

So another flavour of the month pseudo manufactured "rock" band.

They're a real band that got signed to a label, not a studio-manufactured act like "Babymetal".

Granted, I'm not their target market, and I don't react well to the J-Pop vocal style, but....

They are quite good.

I look forward to their continued success.

VIP SOLD OUT is quite a claim for Camden Underworld. Sounds more like Stringfellows.

Because it holds interest for people.

Why don't you explain why you think it isn't news.

Australia misses out again

What I am supposed to ask is.... Are they any good? I think BabyMetal had a certain appeal that has not broadened into an entire genre. I am having a hard time believing this is not way out in gimmick-land as far as pop goes. But I will give them a listen. Who knows....

They're pretty talented. This is obviously not a world tour. More like a Minny EuropeanAsia tour. They rock out. They're only downfall is they don't speak a lot of English or sing using much English in their songs. Their Jrock style is pretty standard. And if they want to be huge, they gotta learn English. The Scorpions don't sing Großstadt Nächte. :-) They sing "Big City Nights".
