First exposed to Miyazaki with his intriguing philosophical tale Princess Mononoke. Still resonates with me now.
And then came Spirited away.
What a defining moment of film making. Similar themes to Mononoke - Fantasy, Spiritualism, the Environment, Good & Evil .....all woven into a story of epic proportions.
Miyazaki the master.

How does a modern household in Japan even watch these movies nowadays? You can't seem to stream it anywhere. Do you actually have to go out and buy hardware that will play a physical disc?

What is wrong with DVD? I have a substantial collection of discs and a stack of spare players, for TV and PC. Ghibli, other anime, Jdrama, Kdrama, TV boxed sets, movies from around the world, plus loads of concert amd MV DVDs.
Do you really want your future viewing options to be limited by the licencing agreements of a subscription streaming service?

The train/sixth station scene in this film is one of the most beautiful pieces of animation ever.
