I resent how they are milking this franchise for all it is worth. Jackson has really become a miive mogul since the days of "Bad Taste".

I agree AK. The first Hobbit lacked the darkness of L of the R. Reminded me of the third Star Wars movie.

Personally I have no real relationship with the LOTR saga, I never got to read the book(s) as a kid. So didn't really bother with anything else but the first movie, which I found a bit long and contrived. Guess I'm not the fantasy kind of guy.
