They are not stupid and see the writing on the wall.

Midjourney and GPT iterations are improving by the month and virtual movies made entirely without actors, sets, writers are definitely in the immediate future.

Good on them for trying to secure their livelihoods , unfortunately those in other industries may not have the means to exert such leverage.

Golden age is finished.

It has never been anything else than leisure. Moreover the flood of new movies, series is too much.

No one would now be able to watch in a lifetime all of what is watchable, even if reduced to high quality recordings.
