"Hollywood's brightest stars sparkled Sunday on the red carpet at the Golden Globes, the first showbiz awards gala of 2020."
OK, if you say so, but I wouldn't be caught dead wearing a goofy outfit like that! I wonder how much that cost. Wonderful use of money. Seriously, this hollywood stuff is just over the top and a waste of time. It's not reality. Who cares?
I will say though that this guy, whoever he is, should be applauded for having courage to wear that goofy thing out in public!
Joe Blow
Exactly; it all just strikes me as one big "who cares".

I hope those feathers are faux.

Yes, its entertainment, but still think this self worship is overdone. So many awards ceremonies now.

I think post-Extras Gervais is awful but tonight he was chef’s-kiss wonderful. The anti-capitalist dig at Apple, Amazon and Disney was brilliant and ballsy with Tim Cook just feet away.
The awards themselves are incredibly wasteful — a set design that will be trash tomorrow; one-use outfits; etc, etc — and these people wanna pay lip service to climate change and act like they’ve done something meaningful. I cringe.
Also, shout out to drunk Joaquin Phoenix for calling out celebrity private jets. This is the energy we need in 2020 if we actually wanna change things.

No One Cares, Their Opinions Dont matter. even the Ricky Gervais guy told them that and epstein didnt kill himself.

Nice to see that someone else recognises Gervais' roast of Tinseltown, which is detailed in the other Japan Today article on '1917,' 'Once Upon a Time ...in Hollywood' winning Golden Globes.

There's so many award shows for this and that. And there's who wore what, who won what, who made who, who made you, did anybody tell you?
And all this jive is forgotten by the weekend. They certainly won't be memorable as say, AC/DC.

There are some good new artists today, they have merit. But there's also a lot of 'here today, gone tomorrow' from then - and now. Who remembers Tiffany for instance, or even wants to?

Billy Porter rocks that look. Am well envious.
There's room for your old timers as well as the new. When it comes to artists & performers, nobody is "better" than anyone else. It's just a matter of taste.
