May I remind whoever wrote it that spoilers, especially those regarding the ending, are very unwelcome. Please remove them or put up some warning. The finale won't be broadcast for most viewers in Japan until at least a few months from now.
calm down
you got a caution in para. 3

It was a great show when it started, but in the last few seasons the writers had clearly run out of ideas. They should have left well alone and stopped earlier.

Thanks for the spoiler! I was debating on whether or not to resume the season after it fizzled out for me after Thirteen left. Now I won't have to. Sounds like it was a nice ending though!

May I remind those complaining about spoilers that there IS a warning right after the sentence, "Viewers were rewarded with a satisfying answer in the one-hour finale." Further proof that having a policy of not reading anything in parenthesis can make you look foolish.

I liked the show - wait, no I didn't. So bipolar, so dull.

Great ending, enjoyed it.

Liked it up to season four. Then it just got too dark so stopped watching it. Viewer in Japan can see this in about, oh two yeas....

Compared to the actual crap on TV in Japan with all the totally unbelievable situations (like women's opinions being listened to, or femaie detectives or female company presidents) House at least gave us a dose of non-PC reality. If you want fluff and non-reality just watch Japanese music programs with no-tatent 15-year old slut-trainees (a.k.a. AKB48) dancing and singing stupid songs

The only satisfying ending for House would have been an ironic or banal ending. Wilson, a cancer specialist, will die of cancer. Nice! House, the ever curious, childish agitator, should have said goodbye from the drudgery of a prison cell. An all too predictable Hollywood ending here. No spoiler alert necessary.

Gonna miss House. Loved that show :)

Probably just sarcoidosis.
