Jaws is a classic. The dynamic on the boat with a rich-kid marine biologist, a crusty old fisherman and a policeman scared of water played by 3 excellent actors was unforgettable.

Superb.

Absolutely. And who can forget the mayor of Amity, insisting everything was fine and the beaches must be kept open...

Look at how many of the films mentioned in this article were produced or directed by Spielberg. Very impressive.

I just saw E.T. again for the first time in a long time last week. It still holds up today. Timeless.

Those dinosaurs in Jurassic Park looked so fake

For their time, they were actually awesome animatronics. T-Rex in Jurassic Park is the largest animatronic figure ever built to this day. The special effects were amazing.

ET is still one of my all time favorites. Many movies these days are boring and unoriginal compared to these classics.

Didn’t Boris Johnson once mention him as the hero of the Jaws films rather than the police chief?

The South Drive-In, in Southern Columbus OH, has been around since 1950. And right now they are showing a mix of the classics (Jaws, Jurassic Park and all that), indie horror though they did show that Sonic the Hedgehog movie, and concerts projected on the big screens. Mostly country music, but they get to charge $100 per vehicle and their concession stands are still open.

So in between those things, and despite operating at 50% capacity, they are doing well. Pure nostalgia for the older fans, and these's still nothing like sitting on or around your car watching a movie under the stars.

I've seen 'The Empire Strikes Back' over 50 times. It never gets old, it's a classic fershure. Even more than the first STAR WARS. As for the other mentioned films they are better on big screen, that's how I saw them.

Even though I first saw 'Yellow Submarine' at a party on a VCR, seeing it remade/remodeled/remastered for its 50th anniversary cinema release was so much better. That's the best way to see true classics like that.

And most films today are total rubbish. The fact that these thrillers are raking in the stub money instead of say more bastardizations of Marvel Comics is really saying something.

Thing is, when the virus has run its course Hollyweird already has plans to release more unnecessary trash including 'Avatar 2' and 'Top Gun 2' (too little, too late to matter). Suck City, here we come.

And you couldn't beat his suit. :D
