I didn't want to like this flick...hated recent Tarantino ie Kill Bill...but watched it on the plane recently and loved it! A return to form for Tarantino, it's a great story and has some very funny scenes. Watch it guys, you will be surprised how good it is!

If, for example, you believe that you are morally superior to your enemy, then it is fine to scalp them.
This is what bothered me most about this movie.

The Taliban have been flocking to see it. Hope it doesn't give them ideas.

good, it was a great film

Say what you will about the rest of the movie but Christoph Waltz deserves an award for his performance.

Brad Pitt only played a bit-part and didn`t appear in the best scenes.

Inglourious Basterds is a brilliant, action, adventure, comedy. Get over yourselves, its not a documentary. Anyone with a sense of humor loved it, uptight, boring types, on the other hand...

Christoph Waltz was amazing but most of the rest of cast of Inglourious was pretty awful. Brad Pitt was practically a cartoon.

How could basterds win ? It's a stupid idiot movie. Quentin Tarantino needs to wake up, his movie is garbage.
The first 15 minutes was great, but it became so stupid.

Certain awards focus on the individual, not the film. While Basterds was not a classic, nor was Crazy Heart, some individual performances were. I felt Avatar was also mindless entertainment, yet fun nonetheless.

How such a stupid movie could win ANY award for anything is beyond me. I did enjoy watching it as mindless entertainment though.

Nice to see Jeff Bridges get some deserved recognition. And Christoph Walt was amazing in Inglourious Basterds, both definitely front runners for the Oscars.
